Getting Started

Step One:
Upon contacting Michael Hatcher & Associates, a design consultant will schedule an appointment and will visit your home or business to discuss your lawn and landscape needs and ideas. We will also determine the scope of work and discuss budgets for each project. We encourage you to have pictures, sketches, and property plats to help portray what you are looking for in your landscape design and to help us along with the design process.

Step Two:
We will develop a landscape plan based on our initial meeting using our creative abilities along with your ideas to complete the overall design. We will also compile a detailed proposal for one or many projects requested by you. Landscape plan completion is based on the size of your project. Of course, large plans consisting of new structures with construction drawings, pools, and new hardscapes require longer periods of time ranging from three to six weeks to successfully complete. Smaller plans generally range from one to three weeks.

Step Three:
Once the landscape plan and proposals are presented, refined (if needed), and approved by you, a contract will be prepared outlining a deposit and a payment schedule. Your project will be submitted to our production department. From there, your project will be scheduled, materials will be ordered, and permits will be acquired. You will be given a tentative start and finish date. Your project will have designated salespeople, supervisors, and foreman to implement your project from start to finish.

Step Four:
After your project is completed, we offer an experienced maintenance staff that can maintain your new or mature landscape all year long. We have both residential and commercial landscape maintenance departments dedicated to making sure your yard looks its best.
